About
Born in Tokyo, Amane Machida is a soprano based in Vienna. Recently, she performed the Solistenquartet in Die Entführung aus dem Serail at the Vienna State Opera. She makes her debut at the Stadttheater Bad Hall (Austria) as Mi in Das Land des Lächelns this summer in 2024.
In 2021, she made her role debut as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro at Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, where she appeared as Zweite Dame and Zweite Knabe in Die Zauberflöte in 2017.
She studied for a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance in the United States at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. During her studies, she received the Austin B. Caswell Award in recognition of her academic paper, “A computational music analysis of Handel’s two divas and their musical taste.”
Her passion for music and dancing has brought her to pursue unique study of operetta at Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK), where appeared as Pepi in a production of Wiener Blut.

NHK東京児童合唱団在籍中から、著名なマエストロやソリストとステージで接する機会に恵まれる。成蹊高校在学時に奨学金を得て、アメリカ、ニューハンプシャー州のセント・ポールズ・スクールに留学。インディアナ大学ジェイコブズ音楽院（アメリカ）卒業。ウィーン市立音楽芸術大学オペレッタ科修了。2024年夏、バード・ハルオペレッタ音楽祭（オーストリア）に『微笑みの国』ミ役として出演予定。他に、『ウィーン気質』ペピ、『フィガロの結婚』スザンナなどをレパートリーとする。現在ウィーン国立歌劇場合唱アカデミーにて研鑽を積んでおり、2024年『後宮からの逃走』にソロカルテットとして出演。
