About
Born in Tokyo, Amane Machida is a soprano based in Vienna. Her passion to music and dancing has brought her to pursue unique study of operetta at Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK), where she will appear as Pepi in a production of Wiener Blut.
In 2021, she made her role debut as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro at Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, where she appeared as Zweite Dame and Zweite Knabe in Die Zauberflöte in 2017.
A graduate of Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Amane received the Austin B. Caswell Award in recognition of her academic paper, “A computational music analysis of Handel’s two divas and their musical taste.”
Amane loves creating music with her friends and has been actively performing new compositions to share messages of living artists, notably at NOTUS and New Voices Opera.
